Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

The Blinds Co respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

Information We Collect

When you request a consultation, we collect your name, phone number, email address, street address, city, state, and ZIP code. You may optionally provide project notes and window photos. We also record your general contact agreement and your separate, optional SMS choice. Inquiries through Facebook, Instagram, or other advertising platforms may include the details you choose to provide on those platforms.

How We Use and Store Your Information

We use your information to respond to inquiries, prepare estimates, coordinate consultations and installation, and support your project. Website requests are saved in our hosted website database and sent to our Google Sheets CRM for follow-up. Optional photos are uploaded to private website storage; temporary access links may be generated for our team. The form may open your email application with request details to notify us. Submitting the form does not itself confirm an appointment.

Information needed for appointments may be used in our Google Calendar scheduling workflow. Our website providers and Google process data needed to operate these services. We use reasonable safeguards, but no transmission or storage system is completely secure.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We disclose only information needed by service providers supporting our website, CRM, scheduling, and communications, or as required by law.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for their marketing. Providers supporting delivery of our messages, including Twilio and mobile carriers, may process the information needed to deliver messages and honor opt-outs.

Optional SMS Consent

The general contact agreement allows phone and email follow-up about your project; it is not SMS consent. SMS requires the separate optional checkbox, which starts unchecked. You can request a consultation without opting in. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

The SMS program uses Twilio when messaging is enabled and covers consultation scheduling, appointment reminders, and project updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You may also contact info@theblindsco.net or (615) 888-0445. See our Terms & Conditions for messaging terms.

How Consent Is Recorded

For submissions using the SMS disclosure, we save the selected SMS choice with the consultation request and phone number, a database-generated recording timestamp, the disclosure text and version, and the source “website consultation form.” When you opt in, we also record the opt-in timestamp. An unchecked choice is recorded as no SMS consent. Earlier requests and general contact permission are not treated as SMS opt-ins.

Retention and Your Choices

We retain inquiry and project records as needed for follow-up, service, legal obligations, and documenting consent. You can request access, corrections, or deletion by emailing info@theblindsco.net. Some records may need to be retained for legal or consent documentation purposes. Opting out of SMS does not stop necessary non-SMS communication about your project.
